A Free Website For Business Boosting

I often travel to my home town of Northampton and I always ask the same question of 2 of my buddies the question is " Have you built that website yet?" Guess what the answer was last time I went home...

As always NO they haven't. I just don't get it in this economic slow they sill won't pull their finger out and build a simple free website!

The funny thing is that these 2 buddies have great businesses and have done pretty well however now they are starting to feel the squeeze as most brick and mortar business are.

Why? because we as consumers just are not spending as much as we used to. In the last 3 years or so most offline businesses have slowed down dramatically, but I say that there is absolutely no need for that at all, If your smart about what you invest your time and energy in you won't even notice we're in a recession. And it's so easy to raise you businesses profile online.

Just imagine you have a store like the poor guy in th eicture above.desperate for business he puts a 30% discount sign inthe window, but who is going to see that sign? Only the very few people who wil actually walk past his store wo just 'may' look up into his widow. no-one else will know that he is offering a whopping 30% off the price of his goods will they.

Now imagine he put up a free simple webpage like a hub page or a squidoo lens, and let the local community know that he was going to have a 30% sale do you think that he would have time to stare out of the window? Probably not. with a little clever SEO (search engine optimisation) stating his store and the locality he may well end up wishing that he only advertised a 10% sale.

He could even take the priciple a little further by setting up a free website of free blog just to promote his dicounted offers and again with clever SEO his free website may get looked at quite oftenby the locals as people begin to know that he will display the next sale.

Now what about if he wants to reach more than the local community, well a website is exactly the tool that he should be using, there are countless options for self promotion available to him and also countless opportunities to sell more.

He could offer an e-commerce store listing his items and a free website builder such as weebly would be perfect for that as they have modules designed especially for that purpose. Getting the product to the customer could be as simple as going to the post office and sending it through the mail. Delivery is the least of his worries getting customers comes first, and he would reach a far greater market when the whole world is able to find his shop front.

It's no suprise that many offline retailers have found that setting up a website and selling their products online has bought so much business that it begins to dwarf thier offline store. So why not invest nothing but a little time and see if you can boost your business by building a website, and please don't get scared by the costs nvolved as the free websites offer a very good platform and service.
